For the sake of the people who aren’t familiar with Pokemon/nuzlockes, Lucky will forever be drawn as Torchic even though he HAD EVOLVED BY THIS TIME.
God, Monica, STOP KILLING YOUR POKÉMANZ!
Monica, the feels. I can’t handle this much adorable sadness in one panel!
Those god damned feels.
Oh Goomy, what happened!?
Everyone else is dead? ;_;
What do you mean “everyone else.” The team consisted of two corpses and a wingull. (I mean, there are a few more possible catches, but we don’t have any emotional attachment.) Still, that aside, this one of the better pages.
It’s Halloween Week, remember. Bruce and Ziggyzig rose again and, well, things went rather south.
Not sure how anyone could follow along with a Nuzlocke comic *without* understanding that teammates evolve as you progress. It’s Pokémon. If they are so unfamiliar with Pokémon as to not even understand Pokémon evolution, can there really be any expectation of them following along with the Nuzlocke? So if you’re keeping Lucky a Torchic for you because Torchic’s adorable, then cool, keep doing it; but, if you’re doing it out of consideration for your audience, then I think you might want to rethink that one. ^_^;
I like that we still get to see Torchic but my mind does quickly wander to what Blaze Kick and Sky Uppercut are going to look like.
The bad news is that you appear to have lost everybody save your starter. The good news is that Gen 3, perhaps more than any other single generation, is where this mattered least (so long as your starter wasn’t a Treecko). The stats and typing on the Torchic line are so favorable that you should be able to build up a really powerful little warrior there. And if you should get lucky and get some new awesome teammates who WON’T DIE? Then cool! :D
It was Whitney’s Miltank, wasn’t it?
That goddamn miltank. Never forget.
;_; u wot
If by this you mean you lost Lucky, then I feel you Monica. I started my own Nuzlocke challenge after you started this series and lost my Treecko to a criting Machop.
I now hate Machops to hell and back!
I’ve started a nuzlocke in Sapphire, and I have’t lost anyone yet…
now you understand the hard truth of the way of the pokemon trainer.the way of the pokemon master is a painfull and sad one,is not a way for those who seek adventure,it is a way for those who desire power.
But there’s nothing cooler than an eight foot tall fire breathing ninja chicken! That’s why I rolled with a torchic in the first place!
If this was Marshstomp’s doing then you get a fist bump of empathy; same thing happened to me on my emerald run.
